Greetings from
Nick's Pizza Stop!
…..and welcome
to the August 2006 edition of Nick’s E-News
We'll
be brief this month because we are knee-deep in preparations for
Grantville Citi-Fest and Nick's Picnic in the Park, and also keeping
busy with the Great Grantville Clean Up and Grantville History
Project.
Nick,
of course is also working on various city council projects and I am
still working full time. You can get a lot of news about all these
activities on my community website, www.grantville.net.
I also maintain a blog
on that site, where I occasionally post Nick's-related news.
Biggest
news at Nick's is our upcoming appearance in the September/October
edition of Newnan-Coweta magazine (in a feature on pizza in
Coweta.) On a related note, I wrote the current "My
Coweta" guest column for that magazine. See that in the
July/August issue, or read the original version (before the editors
fixed it!) here.
(Psst!
I also wrote content for Coweta Living, the new version of the Coweta
Newcomers and Residents Guide published by the Times-Herald. That
guide will be distributed throughout the county in mid-August.)
Okay,
the "I got published" glee is over so I'll get down to
business. We've got some great new stuff coming down the pike at
Nick's but we are not ready to announce that news yet! Most
important things for you to know right now are not especially fun to
talk about....our credit card service is temporarily unavailable as we
await the arrival of new equipment.
Friday
lunch service may be disrupted occasionally in the coming month or so,
as we train Casey to handle the kitchen because Micheal has a new 'day
job.' I will be working the front of the house when I can slip away
from my own day job, but until Casey is trained, unless I can be there
so Nick can work the kitchen, we may not be able to open. As it
stands now, we will not have lunch on August 11 but we expect to be
open on August 18.
No
new menu items this month...but surely there are lots of things you
haven't yet tried!
